Who needs a cake when you LOVE watermelon? Alida's little guy LOVES watermelon and doesn't really like cake. Alida decided to make a huge melon cake, she peeled a watermelon, cored and peeled a (1/2)cantaloupe and stacked them. Then she decorated with strawberries, grapes, leftover cantalouope and pineapple. He loved it. She also made watermelon cake pops. White cake dyed pink with cookie bits and dipped into white then green chocolate. Remember when doing cake pops that cool cake and icing work best to form balls. Alida learned that fruit stick to fruit so she didn't need any tooth picks to decorate the watermelon.
